Ukrainian Trip 2010 Is Quickly Approaching!

Ukrainian Trip 2010

We are happy to announce that on February 15th the application process for one of the greatest projects of Ukrainian RACs  — Ukrainian Trip 2010 — will be open! Within this program, Ukrainian Rotaract Clubs will invite guests from eight different countries to take a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore Ukrainian culture, traditions and identity.

This year, the Ukrainian Trip will have its own unique theme — X-FILES and promises to be unforgettable for both its participants and organizers. More information about its surprises can be found on the official website of the program: www.ukrtrip.info (starting February 15).

Ukrainian Conference 2010: Which Club Will Be Called the Best?

The All-Ukrainian Rotaract Conference in Cherkassy

We would like to kindly remind you that on February 21-22 in Cherkassy one of the most interesting events of the year — The Ukrainian Rotaract Conference — will take place. As part of the event, the best Rotaract Clubs of Ukraine of 2009 will be identified in the following nominations: 'Rotaractor of the Year', 'The Best Club', 'The Best Project' and 'The Most International Club'.

The organizers will, most likely, not keep us from getting crazy, as after the official part, we'll have an Asylum party. From the creators of Baby Party this year we expect something even more bright and grandiose!

Rotaract's "Godfather" on Life, Existence and Plans for the Future

Roman Palash

This person is not just a RAC member, not just an officer, who took all possible offices from Secretary to DRR, not just an active and positive figure. He is the energy of Ukrainian Rotaract, its inspiration, driving force, its name and good reputation abroad. He is the soul of Rotaract. He is Roman Palash.

– When did you first learn about Rotaract? When did it happen? Why did you decide to get involved?

– It happened at the beginning of 2000 by accident when I heard from Pavel Kashkadamov’s conversation about a wonderful opportunity for a person with a good command of German to go on an internship to Germany for a few months. As I found out later, he talked about a program of Ukraine-Germany Committee of District 2230 – a one-year internship for young professionals.

The World with No Borders

This December Rotaract Club Kyiv took part in an international project, entitled “Come Visit”, as it was not only a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with people from other Rotaract clubs, discover a new country with its unique culture, traditions and customs, but also show everything that our country, city and club can be proud of.

Among remarkable points of interest we have defined four key ones: atmosphere, cuisine, culture and people, our country is famous for. We propose our guests to set out on a fascinating journey and open Ukraine, the country which despite all ups and downs of history was capable of preserving a variety of cultural sights we can be proud of today.
