On July 24, Saturday, our club plans to go and visit kids from Denyshy orphanage (the place is 170 km away from Kyiv). Due to funds, raised by our Rotary Club Kyiv, we will have a chance to purchase clothes, fruit and sweets. If you would like to participate, please write us an email: president@rotaract-kyiv.org.ua.

On June 15-27 we realized the largest Rotaract project of the year - Ukrainian Trip 2010, which gave eight participants from eight different countries a chance to discover Ukraine with Rotaract! This year, we hosted guys from Poland, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia and Indonesia!

In 2010, 12 Rotaract clubs and 11 cities took part in organization, particularly, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Simferopol, Sevastopol, Poltava, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv, Uzhgorod, Lviv and Rivne. The program started in Kyiv and was held there for three days, the latter city hosted the final party, dedicated to the 13th anniversary of the Rotaract club of Rivne.

Based on the results of the contest "Spring Fun" which was held by the Rotaract Club of Uzhgorod, Andrey Izhevskyi, the member of our club, was recognized the most talented writer among Rotaract clubs of Ukraine. For his esse "Free Time in Rotaract Style" he was rewarded with the main prize - trip to "Sakura Fest 2010", unforgettable event, dedicated to the blooming of Oriental cherry, which will be held in May. We are very happy for Andrey and wish him much success in all his endeavors!

In the second issue of our international newsletter - Joker - you will learn about various opportunities to discover the world with Rotaract. Particularly, you will find out about different trips, summer camps and other cross-cultural events between other countries, designed, of course, to promote international understanding and peace. Moreover, you will get to know about different Rotaract projects which will be run in the near future and where you can participate. Enjoy!

We are happy to announce that on February 15th the application process for one of the greatest projects of Ukrainian RACs  — Ukrainian Trip 2010 — will be open! Within this program, Ukrainian Rotaract Clubs will invite guests from eight different countries to take a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore Ukrainian culture, traditions and identity.
